Company History

Built over seven years.
Ready for what's next.

Advanced Circular Manufacturing (ACM) did not exist as a category before Carbotura. This is the story of how it was built — founder-funded, from first principles, before a single dollar of institutional capital entered the picture.

2019
ACM conceived. Development begins.

Allen Witters, John Arciero, and Tyler Wood begin founder-funded research and development of what will become Advanced Circular Manufacturing — a process for converting unsorted manufacturing feedstock into high-value materials at near-zero emissions and near-zero residual. A new industrial category, built from first principles.

2021
First independent recognition.

Two years into development, the ACM platform receives its first external validation — selected for the WorldFest Innovation Awards Top 50 Startups, and advanced to Phase 2 of the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition funded by Elon Musk.

The York County, Pennsylvania Community Offtake Agreement is signed — a 30-year take-or-pay processing agreement with a AA-rated county government. Non-cancellable. Non-revocable. Guaranteed Beneficiation Fee payment. Guaranteed feedstock delivery. The anchor asset is secured.

2025 — Q2
Carbotura Inc. formed. First institutional capital initiated.

Having completed a seven-year development phase and executed the York County COA, the founders complete an IRS Section 351 tax-free reorganisation — contributing all technology, contracts, brand, and intellectual property into Carbotura Inc., a newly formed Delaware C-Corporation. Estimated cost-basis value at formation: $24 million. The Series A-1 offering — the first institutional capital in the company's history — is initiated.

2026

Seven years. Founder-funded throughout. No institutional capital until the platform was built, the category was defined, the contract was signed, and the technology had been validated independently. That is the foundation the Series A-1 is built on.
